While in law school, Mr. Sosinsky participated in a clerkship with a supervising judge of the Criminal Court of the city of New York, which was a great honor for the Bronx-born Long Island native. He graduated from law school in 1986 in the top 10 percent of his class, ready to enter his career-long dedication to criminal defense work.

Career Experience

Mr. Sosinsky began his career in 1987 as a senior trial attorney with an organization that provides criminal defense services to indigent defendants in New York City. Attorney Sosinsky remembers this experience fondly, recalling the invaluable trial and courtroom experience he gained during his first few years in practice.

In 1990, Sosinsky transferred to private practice, working as a member of the renowned criminal defense boutique law firm Litman, Asche & Gioiella. While working for this firm, Sosinsky and his partners successfully represented a number of high profile cases, particularly the case involving Oliver Jovanovic. In that case, the defendant was accused of the torture and rape of a 20-year old college student he met in an Internet chat room. After successfully arguing that certain email evidence was improperly excluded from our client’s trial, which supported the assertion that the encounter was consensual, our client’s 15-year sentence was reversed, and he was released from prison.

In 1998, Sosinsky left Litman, Asche & Gioiella to start his own practice, often continuing to work with Litman as co-counsel on some of the more complex, highly publicized matters.
